By Train

Berwick is on the East Coast Main Line served by Virgin Trains East Coast and Cross Country. It is approximately 45 minutes from either Edinburgh or Newcastle.
The Guildhall, Holy Trinity Parish Centre, St Aidan’s and the Library are all about a 15 minute walk from the station. The Watchtower Gallery is in Tweedmouth and St Paul’s is in Spittal. The latter is about 40 minutes on foot from the station where taxis are available.
Berwick is just off the A1 and is about a hour and a half hour drive from Newcastle upon Tyne and Edinburgh.

By Bus

Regional bus networks serve Berwick to and from Morpeth, Alnwick, Wooler, Kelso, Galashiels and Eyemouth.

Local Buses

Borders Buses B1 service runs from Golden Square to Spittal https://www.bordersbuses.co.uk/timetables

There is also a regular Berwick Hoppa hail and ride service which goes to Spittal via Berwick Train station and Golden Square.

By Car & Parking in Berwick

Berwick is just off the A1 and is about a hour and a half hour drive from Newcastle upon Tyne and Edinburgh.

Parking is free in Berwick (apart from at the Rail Station). Short stay car parks require a parking disc to be displayed. For long stay no disc is required. Parking discs are available from many shops at £1.
